HTC One M9 Announced with 5-inch display, Snapdragon 810 and 20MP camera
HTC, the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer has just announced a new flagship smartphone, the HTC One M9. The successor to One M8 had already made several appearances in leaks that pointed exactly what is being officially launched now, at least on the hardware part.
Taking the same design standard ahead, HTC has used all-metal strategy but the changes come with a new golden colored side frame, while it is the silver colored with brushed pattern on the back. It is the single unibody design, as said by HTC’s executive during the announcement.
HTC isn’t shifting its flagship device into the phablet category, thus keeps the display to a 5-inch size with the display resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. As leaked several times, in leaked promo videos and in the benchmark test results, the HTC One M9 gets the internal power from Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor (Octa-core with four Cortex A53 and four Cortex A57 cores, 64-bit architecture) along with Adreno 430 GPU and 3GB of RAM.

Interestingly, HTC One M8’s rear UltraPixel camera is now shifted to the front, and that should surely assist in low light selfies due to the camera’s sensor. On the back, now, there’s a squarish camera module having a 20-megapixel camera after HTC had received much criticism from the community for the 4MP tag for the primary camera. The rear camera has a f/2.2, 27.8mm lens, and it will now be able to capture 4K videos.
HTC One M9 will have the 5.1 Surround sound, with the Dolby speakers on the front. The HTC connect feature helps control multiple speakers and provide entertainment solutions in syncing and playing wirelessly with gestures. The battery given in the One M9 has 2840 mAh capacity, a good bump from 2600 mAh one in One M8.
The color options available are silver, gunmetal grey, pink and gold
