HTC Announces Entry-Level Desire 320: Quad-core 1.3GHz Processor, 4.5-inch Display, 5-MP Camera

Many are expecting the rumored HTC One M9 smartphone to be announced at the CES 2015 tradeshow in Las Vegas, but HTC has decided that its new entry-level handset needs more attention for the time being.
Which could mean that the flagship handset is slated for a release at the Mobile World Congress that is taking place at the beginning of this March in Barcelona.

But let’s get back to the new smartphone that has been unveiled, going by the nameHTC Desire 320, which means it is the direct successor to the HTC Desire 310, unveiled in March last year. Despite being marketed as an entry-level handset, it still manages to sport some pretty nice specs, as follows:
  • Quad-core 1.3GHz processor  htc 320
  • 4.5-inch 854 x 480 resolution screen
  • 5-megapixel rear camera along with a 0.3-megapixel camera on the front
  • Android 4.4 Jelly Bean
  • 1GB of RAM and 8GB of on-board storage (expandable up to a further 32GB through microSD)
  • 2,100mAh battery – up to 12 hours of talk time
  • 145 grames and 10.5 mm thin
  • FM radio 3G handset, so we expect it will be available on some of the cheapest network contracts and as a pay as you go device.
The new HTC Desire 320 is already on sale in Canada is said to be released in the UK, but the company will most likely roll it out to other European countries.  The handset will be available in both vanilla white and dark gray color options.
